One Acre Fund helps Africa's small farmers keep in their fields

Summary: a new kind of micro-finance specifically designed for farmers has been launched by the One Acre Fund designated as one of the 100 Best NGOs 2012. Previous micro-finance had not taken into consideration the specific circumstances of farmers who constitute the majority of the poorest of the poor in the world.
